How we support vulnerable women

   It became evident to us the need to teach technical sewing skills to the women coming to us for employment. Some have basic sewing experience, but creating garments in a commercial factory for the export market is very different.  

 The "Avodah Way" vocational training was borne! This 18 month program provides garment sewing training, general skills and safe, supported employment to at risk women.   
Our goal is to equip and empower vulnerable and at-risk women in Cambodia with the technical, business and social skills to excel in the export garment manufacturing industry through the provision of hands-on vocational training.  

 Our subsidiary, Avodah Manufacturing (Cambodia) works with Cambodian social justice and rescue agencies who rescue women from trafficking and exploitation and provide counselling, education and health support.  When these women are ready to be reintegrated into the community and take on full time employment, they require training and a nurturing, supportive work environment. This is what Avodah Manufacturing (Cambodia) offers.

  
 Once they have graduated, we employ them in our sewing centre or facilitate their employment in a similar ethical garment factory.

We are looking for individuals passionate about making a difference in the lives of women in Cambodia. Together we can provide a way out of poverty.  

The Avodah Way training program is an intensive, supportive and personalised learning environment.

  We provide trainees with a  living wage, meals, health insurance, course materials, sewing equipment and materials.
